How you can access and update information relating to you?

This policy applies to information acquired from stores participating in any Lucky Buys Reward Program and from members of the Lucky Buys Reward Program who have completed the Membership Application Form (“Members”) .

Information collected and held by The Loyalty Group is subject to the Privacy Act, and The Loyalty Group respects and supports privacy protection in relation to information collected. The Loyalty Group is committed to compliance with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth).

The Collection of Personal Information.

What Kind of Information? – The Loyalty Group collects and holds information relating to the Lucky Buys Reward Program. This information includes name, address and other details describing the Member.

The personal information may include:

  • Name, address, telephone number

  • E-mail address

  • Age or date of birth

  • Occupation

  • Participating retailer that issued card

  • Transaction details and points collected at each participating retail store

  • Points balance and rewards received from each respective participating retail store

  • Member signature/authorities

How is it Collected? – This happens when any person joins or participates in the Lucky Buys Reward Program. In addition, on each occasion when a member presents their Lucky Buys Reward customer card to a participating retailer in order to claim or redeem points at the participating retailer’s store, details of that transaction are recorded and kept in the program database.

How is it Stored and Managed? – These records are stored electronically in a computer database managed by The Loyalty Group, or on behalf of The Loyalty Group by contractors.

How The Loyalty Group uses Personal Information

The Loyalty Group uses the information contained in the database primarily for the purpose of managing and administering the Lucky Buys Reward Program. Participating retailers also have access to the database, for the same purpose.

In addition, The Loyalty Group and participating retailers (and specific umbrella organisations representing the interests of the participating retailers or any group of them as “Program Partners”) utilise information held on the database for the secondary purpose of marketing campaigns, planning, product development, competitions and prize awards.

No persons other than The Loyalty Group, participating retailers or Program Partners, or employees, agents and contractors of those persons, are authorised to access Member Information held in the program database. All persons who are allowed to access the information are required to maintain its confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.

Data Quality and Security.

The Loyalty Group is committed to taking all reasonable steps to make sure the information held on its database is accurate and secure.

Marketing Communications.
